Considering I clone was $199 if I remember right. I love the movement of the Avatars in iClone 8, but I doubt I'll be making more movies after I finish my going to Rio video. More CC avatars, hair, clothes, cuts down on my avatar count, and rendering speed. Yes the animation can be made smoother, but you can also do that taking your time. Every upgraded version of iClone 3- to iClone &, had things I could really use to keep it simple. There is not +$600 of improvements that would work for me. Though iClone 7, is perfect enough for me, just look at Family Guy or South Park. I would need a $4000 Threadripper Pro and 356 GB of RAM. The more detailed your graphics, the less avatars you can use, I'm more into quantity than quality in my scenes (Youtube - rioleo8). If this were my lifeline, then I could see me wanting more lifelike characters. I'm not a animation pro, and I'm satisfied with my iClone 7 results. skp files, for my own models, and never used the pipeline version. I stopped upgrading 3Dexchange a long time back, because I just used. Every upgrade from iClone 3 to iClone 7 has be really affordable. But RL has been late with their upgrades, (why no true date) and is very slow working out the bugs. They said that iClone 9 would be released in the Spring of 2022. I started with iClone 3, in 2008 which was very affordable. iClone 7 seems like it has been around 10 years. I was surprised to see in my email, there was going to be a iClone 8.
